Introduction To Prent Malaysia

PRENT MALAYSIA SDN.BHD Background Company
Dispatching : Function of selecting and sequencing available jobs to be run at individual work centers. It normally includes the following information and is updated and published at least daily : Plant, department and work center. Part number, shop order number, operation number and operation description of jobs at the work center. Standard hours. Priority information. Jobs coming to the work center. Dispatching Rules : There are are many rules, some attempting to reduce working process inventory, others attempting to minimize the number of late orders or maximize the output of the work center. Some commonly used rules are : First come first served (FCFS). Jobs are performed in the sequence in which they are received. This rules ignores due dates and processing time. Earliest job due date (EDD). Jobs are performed according to their due dates. Due dates are considered, but processing time is not. Earliest operation due date (ODD). Jobs are performed according to their op

Scheduling Tehniques :  It is consist of forward scheduling, backward scheduling, infinite loading and finite loading. Forward Scheduling : Material procurement and operation scheduling for a component start when the order is received. The result must be complete before due date. This method used to decide the earliest delivery date for a product. It is also used to calculate how long it will take to complete a task. Backward Scheduling : The last operation on the routing is scheduled first and is scheduled for completion at the due date. Previous operations are scheduled back from the last operation. Work-in-process inventory is reduced because there is little slack time in the system, customer service may suffer. It is used to determine when an order must be started. Backward scheduling is common in industry because it reduces inventory. Infinite Loading :   It is made that the wrokstations on which operations 1, 2 and 3 are done have capacity available when required. It does
Assalamualaikum and good evening every one. Today i will continue share something that you should know in chapter 7 which is Production Activity Control. Scheduling : scheduling very important because we can deliver item at the exact time and date. We also can use the resources without over the limit or less than what should we use by having a schedule. Schedule involves starting and ending dates or time for each operation. Manufacturing Lead Time : It is the time normally required to produce an item or product in a typical lot quantity. There are 5 elements of MLT consist of : Queue time : amount of time the job is waiting at work center before operation begins. Setup time : Time to required to prepare the work center for operation. Run time : Time needed to run the order through the operation (production time). Wait time : Amount of time the job is at the work center before being moved to the next work center. Move time : Transit time between work centers. Calc

Data Requirements

Hello and Hye Everyone!! Miss us?? ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“ So, Today We Will Share About Data Requirements to Manufacturing Item Master File: There is one record in the item master file for each part number. The contain about all of the pertinent data related to the part. Example: Part Number, Part Description, Quantity in Hand and Quantity Available. Product Structure File: Contains a list of the single level components and quantities needed to assemble a parent. It will form as a basis for "pick list" to be used by storeroom personnel to collect the parts required to assembly. Routing File: The routing file consist of a series of operations required to make the item. In every product, it will contain a step by step set of instructions describing how the product are made. Example: Description of operation, lead times and tools. Work Center Master File: This work center master file collects all of the relevant data on a work center. Example: Work Center Number

Manufacturing Systems

Image
Flow Manufacturing: The production of high-volume standards product. If the units discrete such as cars and appliances it will called repetitive manufacturing. if the goods are made in a continuous flow such as gasoline, it will called as continuous manufacturing. Intermittent Manufacturing: Characterized by many variations in product design, process requirements and order quantities. Machinery and workers must be flexible enough to do the variety if work. The capacity required depends on particular mix of products being built and difficult to predict. Project Manufacturing: Usually involve the creation of one or a small number of units. Design of a product is often carried out or modified as the project develops. Got Any Questions? Do Comment Below ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Activities in Production Activity Control

Image
Planning : Flow of work through each of the work centers must be plan to meet delivery dates. All the materials needed are complete or available when the manufacturer started. Schedule start and completion dates for each order are planned before start the manufacturing. Implementation : When the order are made, production activity control must put them into action by advising the shop floor what must be done. Gather the information needed by the shop floor to make the product. Dispatching Control : When the plans are made, the process must be monitored to learn what is actually happening. Track the actual performance of work orders and compared with planned schedule. If necessary, (PAC) must take the corrective action. Monitor and control work-in-process, lead times and work center queues. So, these are some activity in Production Activity Control, if you had any questions,  Do comment below !! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Chapter 7 (Production Activity Control)

Image
Production Activity Control (PAC) is responsible for executing the master production schedule and the material requirements plan. It also must make good use of labor and machines, minimizes work-in process inventory and maintain customer service. The material requirements plan authorizes (PAC) Release work orders to the shop for manufacturing. Take control of work orders and make sure they are completed on time. Manage day-to-day activity and provide the necessary support. So, these are some introduction about (PAC) that we will learn in this topic.. Stay tuned for the next post !!๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ
