So, Today We Will Share About Data Requirements to Manufacturing

Item Master File:

• There is one record in the item master file for each part number.
• The contain about all of the pertinent data related to the part.
• Example: Part Number, Part Description, Quantity in Hand and Quantity Available.

Product Structure File:

• Contains a list of the single level components and quantities needed to assemble a parent.
• It will form as a basis for "pick list" to be used by storeroom personnel to collect the parts required to assembly.

Routing File:

• The routing file consist of a series of operations required to make the item.
• In every product, it will contain a step by step set of instructions describing how the product are made.
• Example: Description of operation, lead times and tools.

Work Center Master File:

• This work center master file collects all of the relevant data on a work center.
• Example: Work Center Number, Capacity, Efficiency and Utilization.

Control Files:

• Control in intermittent manufacturing is exercised through shop order and control files that contains data on these orders.
• Example: Order Quantity, Quantity Completed and Quantity Scrapped.

Shop Order Detail File:

• Each shop order has a shop order detail file contain a record for each operation needed to make the items.
• Example: Operation Number, Setup Hours, Due Date or Lead Time Remaining and Quantity Reported Complete at that Operations.
