Flow Manufacturing:
- The production of high-volume standards product.
- If the units discrete such as cars and appliances it will called repetitive manufacturing.
- if the goods are made in a continuous flow such as gasoline, it will called as continuous manufacturing.
Intermittent Manufacturing:
- Characterized by many variations in product design, process requirements and order quantities.
- Machinery and workers must be flexible enough to do the variety if work.
- The capacity required depends on particular mix of products being built and difficult to predict.
Project Manufacturing:
- Usually involve the creation of one or a small number of units.
- Design of a product is often carried out or modified as the project develops.
